What tests must be done on car interior parts?

Public date: 2020/3/10 21:59:01

In recent years, cars have gradually become the necessary means of transportation for people to travel. With the increasing awareness of environmental protection and safety of automotive products, people pay more and more attention to interior materials when choosing cars. As we all know, a safe and qualified car needs to meet the detection of harmful substances such as ELV and VOC. As everyone knows, car interior parts also need to meet the following requirements to ensure the environmental protection and safety of the car environment.

So what kind of tests need to be done, don't go away, it will be announced immediately.

1. Flame retardant performance

Combustion safety performance is an important indicator of automotive interior materials. Automotive interior materials, especially textiles, must have good flame retardancy and flame retardancy. In this way, once the car is in danger of fire, it can ensure that passengers have enough time to leave, or reduce the risk of fire.

Ordinary automotive textile materials may use various fibers, because their composition and chemical structures are different, so their thermal properties and combustion properties are also different. The current flame retardant performance testing standard is GB 8410-2006 "Combustion characteristics of automotive interior materials", which is applicable to all automotive interior materials. Common evaluation methods are: vertical burning test, horizontal burning test, and 45° angle burning test.

2. Atomization performance

Automotive interior materials will go through various functions before use. Adhesives are generally used during installation. Therefore, the finished automotive interior materials may contain many low-molecular volatiles. These volatiles are heated It will volatilize and condense on the window glass and windshield, forming a kind of "rime" phenomenon on the surface. The "rime" on the window glass is difficult to remove, so it will seriously affect the driver's sight, and the volatile matter suspended in the air may be inhaled into the human body, which will affect people's health and safety. Therefore, automotive interior fabrics must have certain anti-fogging properties.

At present, for the test of the atomization performance of auto parts, ISO6452 "Rubber, Plastic, Artificial Leather-Determination of the Haze Characteristics of Automobile Interior Parts" is adopted internationally, and QB/T "Leather Physical and Mechanical Test Atomization Performance" is mainly adopted in China. Determination".

3. Anti-ultraviolet performance (light aging test)

At present, in order to meet the requirements of daylighting and automobile lightweight, the window glass will occupy a large area. As the sun rises, the temperature inside the cabin can reach 130°C under certain extreme weather conditions; as the sun sets, the car The internal temperature drops again, which will greatly affect the relative humidity of the cabin. Such a large heat and cold cycle may accelerate the aging of non-metallic materials, which not only affects the service life of the material, but also greatly affects the aesthetics of the fabric after the textile fades. Therefore, automotive interior materials must have good light resistance and UV resistance. The photo-aging tests commonly done for automotive interior materials include: xenon arc lamp aging test, carbon arc lamp aging test, and simulated ultraviolet aging test.
